Of course! While my passion lies in women's health, I am open to seeing other health concerns such as digestive complaints, headaches, fatigue, poor sleep, pain and stress management. That being said, if I feel like you would benefit from seeing another naturopathic doctor that has more experience in treating your specific health concern, I will definitely refer you to one of my colleagues. If you're not sure if I would be able to help you with your specific health concern, feel free to book a FREE 15 minute discovery call and we can chat more!

Nope! No referral from a family doctor is needed to come see me. If you’re interested in booking an appointment with me, click here or book a FREE 15 minute discovery call to learn how naturopathic medicine can support your needs.

Currently, naturopathic medicine is not covered under OHIP. However, many insurance companies do cover naturopathic care. Please check with your insurance provider to see if naturopathic visits are covered under your plan. Lab work and comprehensive tests that are recommended in visits are sometimes covered, but it is best to check with your insurance provider. Supplements and natural health products that are recommended in visits are not covered under insurance.

Currently, I am accepting patients both virtually (Ontario residents only) and in-person at Bayview North Family Chiropractic in Richmond Hill. I find that patients benefit the most through in-person visits, especially if the nature of your concern requires a physical exam. But if you'd prefer to see me from the comfort of your own home or don't live near the clinic, we can do a virtual visit as well. Feel free to reach out if you're unsure if you should book an in-person or virtual initial visit.

Once you've booked an appointment with me, an email will be sent from Jane, our online booking site and client portal, which will prompt you to create an account. Intake forms will also be sent out and must be filled electronically through Jane at least 48 hours before your initial visit. This allows me to better prepare for our visit together so I greatly appreciate you taking the time to fill it out! If you have any previous blood work or imaging results, you can also send them to me via e-mail or bring them with you to the visit. If you’re taking any medications or supplements, you can also bring them physically with you to the visit, write the name and brand down or take photos of them with your phone to show me.

The initial visit is 90 minutes long and it allows me to perform a thorough intake, to better understand your health concerns and goals and to get a complete picture of other facets of health including diet, lifestyle, health habits, stress and reviewing all body systems. Further testing like lab work may be needed and will be discussed in the first visit, along with short term and long term treatment plans. Subsequent visits will be shorter ranging from 15 to 60 minutes depending on how much needs to be discussed during the follow ups and may also include treatments like acupuncture, cupping or cold laser.

This is hard to say as it depends on what the health concern is, your current state of health and the barriers to healing that exist. Since one of the guiding principles of naturopathic medicine is to treat the root cause of disease and because our therapies are much gentler on the body, it may take longer to see results and for certain therapies to have their beneficial effects. I definitely understand the desire to get better as soon as possible, but the journey to healing is a process and something to be embraced!

I get that life happens sometimes! If you can't make your appointment, please text 416-707-4538 or e-mail me at least 48 hours in advance to your appointment time. This allows us to offer up your appointment time to other patients that are waiting to see me. If you haven't cancelled your appointment at least 48 hours in advance, you will be charged the full amount of your appointment fee.

Naturopathic doctors are regulated in Ontario by the College of Naturopaths Of Ontario (CONO). CONO ensures that naturopathic doctors that are registered with them have the education and skills to care for patients. Naturopathic doctors must go through 4 years of naturopathic medical school with an accredited institution (and have completed a 3 or 4 year bachelor's degree prior) and pass 4 licensing exams to become naturopathic doctors.
